I'm in love with Italy

Lunch.  Proof I'm enjoying myself way too much.

We spent the day at the Academy and the Uffizi museums in Florence.  The academy has The David.  I’ve been to several famous museums and I’ve never been so impressed with a work of art.  The size and perfection of the David was incredible.  I stood there in awe for several minutes just looking at the veins in his hands.  Michelangelo truly is one of the most talented artist. I was honestly moved by it.  It's now my favorite work of art.

Highlight:
I got a leather purse!  Whitters and Isaac were very generous and bought me a purse as a thank you for planning the trip.  I was so touch and it made me emotional.  They are so thoughtful and kind!  I love them so much.  They’re such a good example of a happy, loving marriage. I love them both!

Lowlight:
While shopping at booths it started pouring rain.  We hid under a booth for over half an hour.  We got all wet.  It was fun to see some people happy and jumping in puddles.  I also loved hearing the thunder.  But I didn’t like getting drenched.

Distance walk:
11.45 miles
I love bridges in the city.

View of Florence at night

It's raining men hallelujah! It's raining men :)
That song was stuck in my head during the storm.

Isn't she beautiful.  It even has a stamp
that says made in Italy.
