BNP Paribas Open

Everyone that knows me knows I'm a huge tennis fan.  I can watch a six hour match and be enthralled the whole time and with my heart pound during the intense rallies.  Sometimes it gets so bad I'll squeeze the person's arm next to me because of the suspense.  Now you know not to sit by me during a match unless you want a battle wound.
My all-time favorite tennis player is Roger Federer.  After watching him win major after major for a decade I finally get to see the master at work in person.  This is my number one bucket list item coming true!  It was a built up moment and it was worth all the anticipation.

My favorite athlete and the most incredible tennis player to live.
That's right…Roger Federer himself.

Eating at the Jackalope restaurant while
 watching Federer play on TV.

Tsonga is from France and ranked #11
My new Roger Federer shirt.  It was $40 but
worth every penny!
Palm trees, oh how I've missed you!

Getting ready to watch Federer for a second time
Yep, on cloud 9.
Now that's a big tennis ball!
After shaking and being speechless for minutes
I finally gained my composure to take a photo with
Djokovic signature on my ball.  He's ranked #2 and
won the tournament. How lucky am I?!

These girls make my heart happy.  They really do.

Isn't she pretty??
Djokovic-the man who signed my mini earth.
He's adorable and I may have a new crush.

Ready to play
Painted Canyon
Exploring the Painted Canyon.  We're pretty
hardcore!

 Highlights:

  • Seeing tennis live and hearing the power of the ball being hit
  • Being in the same room as Roger Federer and seeing him perform in person…incredible
  • Feeling the warmth of the California sun while sitting at the pool and soaking up the rays
  • Having Djokovic sign my mini earth.  I'm so lucky!
  • Driving with Jenny and Steph and having fun road trip buddies
  • Singing to Backstreet Boys and N'Sync while driving
  • Hiking with Thad in the Painted Canyon
Lowlights:
  • Almost running out of gas.  The distant until empty was plank and we were five minutes to a gas station.  Somehow we survived.
  • Having my flipflop break and walking around the tournament with one shoe
  • Being stuck in a car for 11 hours.  That's a long time!
